New Incentive to Volunteer

By Annabel Fowler
Staff Reporter

The Lane Center for Community Engagement periodically hosts WOW! A Day for Macon. This is an opportunity for Wesleyan students, faculty, staff, and even non-Wesleyan volunteers to lend a helping hand to Macon’s local communities. Lane Center Director Rhonda Green-Barnes has implemented a new tool to promote and motivate Wesleyan students to volunteer in this outreach program. The class with the greatest percentage participants will be awarded the “Hopeful Hands for a Better World” service trophy.
