What’s a Girl to Do?

Advice and Insight from Lulu!
Staff Reporter

Hey ladies,
Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I’ve decided to write this week about inexpensive ways to spend time with your honey. I know a lot of people are struggling in this economy, and we all like saving money. Not everyone has the luxury of renting a private jet or yacht and spending bazillions of dollars. So I’ve compiled some cheap ways to spend your Valentine’s Day with the one you love.

First off, it’s not about how much you spend, it’s how you spend it. One cheap (and romantic) alternative is packing a picnic filled your significant other’s favorite foods and eating it on a blanket outside. In the daytime, or at night, this is a nice way to show you care. You can take it a step further by bringing his/her favorite music to set the mood.

Another idea is to make “love coupons”. These can be as naughty or as sweet as you would like, such as “Good for one free back massage” or “Good for movie night of your choice”. This shows that you are creative and very thoughtful, and it’s fun to use the coupons!

Now I know that not everyone has a Valentine this year, myself included. So here are some fun ways to spend Valentine’s for all you single ladies (Insert Beyonce dance here). Instead of watching chick flicks alone and gorging yourself on ice cream, try taking a nice bubble bath. Bubbles help to relieve tension and stress, and they generally make you feel nice. Another fun idea is to get together with all your single friends and have a game night. Each person brings their favorite snack, and you can play board games all night long. Spending time with your friends on Valentine’s Day always lightens the mood and makes you happy!
So there you go, some new (and different) Valentine ideas just for you! Enjoy and have a lovely Valentine’s Day. Hopefully you’ll get all the lovin’ you need.

Until Next Time,
~Lulu
